Join iconic vintner Richard Sanford of Alma Rosa Winery for a tour of the now famous Santa Rita Hills AVA and Sanford & Benedict Vineyard that he helped discover in the early 1970s. The tasting will start at Alma Rosa Winery in Buellton, then continue with a bus ride to Richard's El Jabari Vineyard for more tastes & a light lunch.

Santa Barbara Wine Collective
Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Symposium

3 to 4:30 PM

Taste four high-end Chardonnays, followed by four top Pinot Noirs, with the winemakers comparing & discussing each of their offerings from various vineyards in Santa Barbara County. This tasting will include premium wines from: Babcock, Fess Parker, The Hilt, Ca'del Grevino & Notary Public (who will pour their Chenin Blanc as a starter wine). The Wine Collective is a stylish tasting room for the four wineries, located in The Lark complex in the hip Funk Zone. Panel discussion moderated by local food and wine writer George Yatchisin.

Nine top Pinot producers from California's Central Coast will showcase their offerings in this tasting not to be missed. Wineries include: Au Bon Climat, Babcock, Baileyana, Center of Effort, Laetitia, Longoria, Pisoni, Tolosa & Windward. Winemakers in attendance! Lively panel discussion moderated by wine specialist Patrick Will. Taking place in the newly renovated Santa Barbara Inn across from the beach.

Both Fred Brander & Bob Lindquist will be present to dine alongside & chat about their wines. This is a most unique opportunity to dine in a historic venue with two stalwarts of the SB wine scene.

Join your hosts, Dr. Blake Brown, Don Schliff, John Tilson and Central Coast Wine Classic Founder and Chairman, Archie McLaren, in the private dining room of the historic Santa Barbara Club, for dinner prepared by Club Chef Humberto Perez, alongside the extraordinary Guest Chef Bernard Ibarra, from Terranea Resort.
